Jared Crum is a native of Northern New Jersey and started his college baseball career at Sussex County Community College. Crum started behind the plate as a freshman and contributed greatly from opening day. Before the start of his sophomore season he was named team captain and continued his success behind the plate and as a DH. Upon graduating, Jared received offers from Montclair State University, Ithaca College, Troy State University, and Xavier University, among others. Before deciding on which school to attend, Jared was invited to the St. Louis Cardinals first year player draft showcase, in Augusta, New Jersey. At the showcase, Jared earned accolades from all of the coaches. As a promising career was within reach, Jared’s knees forced him to hang up his cleats. Today, Jared dedicates his time to training baseball and softball catchers in the state of Arizona. His goal is to take each of them as far as their hearts desire. In baseball, it’s not always the top talent that makes it, the players with the most passion and dedication to the game make it! Outside of baseball, Jared and his wife Jaime are raising their son Kaden in Gilbert.
